Schooling and Worship

Ellsworth Commons is located within the Ballston Spa School District and also has easy access to private elementary and secondary schools. Further educational opportunities are available with nearly twenty regional colleges and universities; including Albany University, Hudson Valley Community College and Adirondack Community College.

Your children will have access to excellent public, private and further education schools. The district schools focus on fully addressing the New York State standards that promote excellence and equity through education.

Along with the admittance to the great local schools, you and your family will be able to obtain free research and study material from the public libraries located in Malta.

The Town of Malta also includes a variety of churches or temples fit to help you and your loved ones practice their religious beliefs.

Ballston Spa Central School District

There are four elementary schools (grades Pre-K-5) in the Ballston Spa School District.

  • Milton Terrace North
  • Milton Terrace South
  • Malta Avenue
  • Wood Road

There is also the Middle School (grades 6-8) and the High School (grades 9-12). The schools include state of the art computer and science labs, a modern library media center and auditorium, and a swimming pool.

The Ballston Spa Central School District currently serves close to 4,300 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The district encompasses portions of the Towns of Milton, Malta, Ballston, and Charlton and also includes the quaint Village of Ballston Spa.

Town of Malta is located near many places of worship including Methodist churches, Catholic churches and Jewish temples. Saratoga County includes many great and friendly places for your religion. The Churches or temples are centrally located in the community with easy access to your desired services.

Many of the churches or temples also host an array of community events that will help you be closer to your community and help make it a better, safe and friendly. The community events include clubs, nurseries, summer camps, sunday schools, boy or girl scouts, meet ups and more.

Public Libraries

You and your family will have access to the latest research materials and studying opportunities when visiting Malta's nearby public libraries. With endless amount of knowledge within the halls of the library, your family will be able to read through a variety of topics and also have access to public computers.

The public library also is proud to host an assortment of family events including reading and writing clubs, book clubs, family film nights, craft sessions, and more - all free to the public!
